It was one of those perfect Seattle evenings; where all you need is a light jacket and it’s light out until late into the evening. I photographed Ellen and Jeff’s engagement photo session at Golden Gardens on this lovely evening and captured some breath taking images.

This sweet couple walked along the beach, laughed and just enjoyed an evening alone together as I captured some truly amazing photos of them.

They will be getting married in the coming weeks so be sure to check back for a post on Ellen and Jeff’s wedding!

I photographed Misti and Scott’s engagement photo session at Golden Gardens on a beautiful, sunny Seattle evening. The love they have for each other is so apparent in their interaction with one another and I was able to truly capture this as the couple enjoyed a beautiful spring afternoon together.

This sweet couple will be getting married in July at the Broadmoor Club. Be sure to check back for a posting on their wedding. I can already tell it’s going to be amazing!!

It’s been awhile

Well it’s been awhile since I’ve posted on my blog. To be honest I really wanted to just get rid of it all together. Over the last couple months I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about this blog and finally decided today that I need to get back on it. I really like just sharing stories, both personal and professional, so here we go again.

As you can see I’ve given it a complete redesign for a fresh look. Along with a fresh design here I also gave the whole website a fresh design. Please check it out and let me know what you think. I plan to really post a lot here so hopefully I can stay true to my word.

Patrick & Emily: e-session and Fusion!

A week or so ago I was down in Portland to shoot Patrick & Emily’s engagement pictures. I was particularly excited about this session because they are practically family. We headed out to a little winery just outside Portland and spent the morning together. They were willing to do anything for me, even being the first ones to experience Fusion! See below for this new staple for e-sessions. Their wedding next month is going to be so much fun, I can’t wait!!!

Aziz & Katie: e-session

Another amazing e-session! Aziz and Katie, what a beautiful couple. They are so much fun to be around. WOW we had so much fun during our time together roaming the UW campus capturing these stunning moments. I can’t wait for their wedding, it is going to be breath taking so stay tuned. I’ve photographed a lot of sessions at the UW but when you get someone who actually went there to show you some new spots, it’s a whole new ball game. Thanks to Aziz for showing me around more. The engagement sessions is such an important part of how the wedding day will flow when it comes to photography!

Steve + Caewyn: e-session

Steve and Caewyn, where do I begin. I met Steve years ago back when we were both students at SPU. Steve actually shoot my wedding video back in the day. Haha where has the time gone. I met Caewyn a couple years ago at a wedding that she was a part of. I was excited to say the least when they contacted me after their engagement. We spent an afternoon cruising around Seattle telling their engagement story. Their wedding is going to be amazing with a beach side house, breakfast for dinner, and much more included!

This woman asked if she could show them some tango dance steps (I had them dancing on the path together).

And this is all she showed them. One move that doesn’t look to exciting for Steve. I think she realized that I was taking pics of it all and ran off.

Emilie + Jake: e-session

Spring is sometimes hit or miss in Seattle weather wise. A couple weeks ago I hung out with Emilie & Jake to shoot their engagement photos. We had a good time laughing and enjoying a beautiful spring afternoon. I’ve known Jake for awhile now; he is the manager of the cafe that I serve on the advisory board for. When they asked me to photograph their wedding in Michigan I was so excited. As you can see in their engagement photos we are going to have such a good time on the wedding day. Look out Michigan here I come!!!!

Meredith & Jeremy: e-session

The other weekend I had a chance to finally hangout with Jer & Meredith again. Initial meetings are fun but nothing like when we hangout for the e-session. This was particularly fun for me because it was the first e-session of the year. After the winter season of reflecting on last year and planning for a this year; it’s a joy to start implementing! It’s going to be a great year for sure. Jer & Meredith definitely gave this year a great kickoff. Good times at Seattle Center and EMP!

Eric's Testimony

I was doing some updating to my Facebook Fan page and just saw this awesome testimony from Eric!

“Corey is freakin’ awesome! It’s amazing how God places certain people in your life. If my encounter on the plane with Corey isn’t odd enough, Christy’s cousin who lives in the Portland area, calls Christy a day before our interview with Corey and suggests Corey as a photographer (not knowing that we were interviewing him). All I have to say, God is great, and He has instilled a gift and passion of photography in Corey!” – Eric

Working On Rebuilding

If you follow me on Twitter or are my friend on Facebook, you will know that last week I lost all my Databases on my server. So what does that mean… well I lost my entire blog. All the posts and photos on it were gone. Luckily my site was not hit nor was my image host. Rest assured brides I didn’t loose any photos! I am currently working on rebuilding my site/blog into a blog-site. Please bear with me as this process is a little slower then expected since I am in the heart of wedding season. While I am rebuilding lets take a trip down memory lane… This is one of my favorite images from a couple years ago.
